Andrew Hope was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. From an early age, Andrew worked at his parents’ family-owned business, Custom Metal Fabricating, Inc. It was there he learned the value of a dollar and the real definition of a hard day’s work. He is a 1995 graduate of North High School; a 1999 graduate of the University of Iowa (BA, Political Science); and a 2002 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law (Juris Doctorate). Andrew is admitted to practice law in Texas and Iowa and is a member of the following bars: State Bar of Texas (2003); the Iowa State Bar Association (2004); and the U.S. District Court Southern District of Iowa (2004). Andrew is a member of the Polk County Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. Prior to practicing law, Andrew worked as an independent property claims adjuster for the insurance industry.
Andrew has litigated hundreds of divorce, child custody, and family law cases. He is a strong supporter of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and has represented litigants in nearly 100 mediations. Andrew also devotes a significant amount of his law practice to representing homeowners and business owners in commercial and residential property insurance litigation. He utilizes his prior experience as a property adjuster and knowledge of the cost-saving tactics of the insurance companies to achieve fair settlements of claims arising from fire, flood, wind and hail.
